Golden Melody Award winner Faith Yang releases her 2009 English album Self-

Selected, covering her favorite songs from Western musicians, including

Radiohead's Fake Plastic Trees, Lou Reed's Perfect Day (duet with Eason Chan),

and songs originally by such artists as Blur, Coldplay, and the Verve. The

selections date from 1969's After Hours by the Velvet Underground, to 2008's

Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova (the Oscar-winning song from

the film Once). Also covered by the Taiwan singer are the James Bond movie theme

Diamonds Are Forever, and T-Rex's 20th Century Boy, the song that inspired the

Japanese manga and movie of the same name. Finally, the Sandee Chan-produced

album is rounded off by the only non-cover track, Miss Underwater, a song written

for Faith by her German musician friend Maximilian Hecker.

Faith Yang là ca sĩ Đài Loan , cô lớn lên tại Sydney Úc . Sau khi tốt nghiệp đại học cô rời Úc và trở về Đài Loan và bắt đầu sự nghiệp ca hát của mình . Ban đầu nhạc của Faith mang nhiều âm hưởng rock gothic sau đó chuyển dần sang pop. cả 3 Album của cô đều là những hit lớn ở Đài Loan . Năm 2000 , cô giành giải Taiwan Golden Music awards cho nữ ca sĩ xuất sắc nhất. shy

Album này Faith Yang cover lại những ca khúc tiếng Anh yêu thích của cô như Hallejulah , Fake Plastic Trees của Radiohead , " Perfect Day của Lou Reed và đặc biệt là ca khúc " Falling Slowly" ca khúc giành giải Oscar nhạc phim hay nhất trong phim "Once" năm ngoái....
